Fokker D.VII (early) – since Spring 1918 German fighter units Jastas were equipped with new Fokker D.VII aircraft. Early versions powered by Mercedes D.IIIa engine were built on Fokker Flugzeugwerke plants. Mostly elite units and famous aces received new fighters. Ernst Udet, Bruno Loerzer, Rudolf Berthold and many other aces flied on this type.
