Trainer Aircraft.
In 1944 the society Bell has put into production a special version of the plane P-63 Kingcobra RP-63 Pinball which was used as the piloted flying target. The armour was to 5-10 times thicker than in usual P-63, the maximum was in the area of the cockpit, motor and fuel tanks. All the armement and a part of equipment have been removed from the plane. Thick armoured glasses have been put in the lantern and the cockpit door. |
