An-12 BK - one of the most well-known Soviet aircraft, developed in Antonov's design bureau in Kiev at the end of the 1950s. Production ceased in 1973 when a total of 1213 had been built. It was widely exported to many countries and extensively used in almost every major conflict of the second half of the 20th Century. Military service of this aircraft still continues to the present day in Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
